Here at Tie the Knot Cyprus we offer 4 types of religious ceremonies Anglican, Catholic, Maronite & Greek Orthadox

 

Anglican Ceremonies can take place in any of the churches listed below but they also perform Anglican Ceremonies in many non church venues for example, Liopetro Venue, Vasilias Nikoklis Inn or Elea.. 

Ayia Kyriaki Chrysopolitissa Church 

Ayia Kyriaki Church is one of the most beautiful venues you can choose for your wedding day ceremony. Situated in the centre of lower Paphos, not far from the harbour, this picturesque church is set amongst the ancient ruins of St Paul’s Pillar, dating back to ancient times, making it one of the most famous archaeological sites in Cyprus. Inside there is an impressive and colorful display of icons, giving the venue a unique character. It can accommodate up to 200 guests and offers a fabulous historic setting for a perfect wedding ceremony.

St Nicolas Chapel

This small sparkling Greek Orthodox Chapel is found close to the beach just beyond the Paphos strip of hotels.​It can accommodate 40-45 people comfortably and is a beautiful modern chapel in a unique setting.It does have wheelchair access and although there are no toilets at this church. 

Panagia Odigitria Church 

Must be booked with a reception at Liopetro

The 12th Century Church is steeped in history and is located opposite Liopetro. The original rustic brickwork and remains of wall paintings offer a venue like no other.

 

St Georges Chapel  

St George Chapel is located within the grounds of the St George Hotel which is approximately 15 mins drive from the main tourist area of Paphos. This very ornately decorated Chapel is a historical landmark in the area and due to its décor it offers fabulous photo opportunities during and after the ceremony. The chapel is air-conditioned and can seat up to 22 guests although it has standing room for more.

Minthis Hills Resort Monastery Church 

Must be booked with a reception at Minthis Hills 

"Stavros Tis Minthis", a twelfth-century monastery, from which the resort derived its name, is located within the resort grounds, evidence of the area’s rich heritage.  Legend has it that the decision to build a monastery on the site was made following the discovery of a large cross in some mint bushes, with a lit candle placed next to it.

Catholic (Roman)

Catholic Ceremonies MUST take place within a church and you will be required to have a civil ceremony prior to the church ceremony in order to make the wedding legal

Maronite 

Maronite Ceremonies MUST take place within a church.

Once you confirm our services as your wedding planner we confirm the church we will put you in touch with the Father Ibrahim to discuss with him what documents you need to have in place before he can marry you. 

Greek Orthadox

Orthodox Ceremonies MUST take place within a church. ​
